About the project:
The task was to design a footbridge to the site of Méra - World music, a Transylvanian world music festival. Méra is a small village mostly known of its beautiful traditional clothing and folklore culture. The creators say the following about the festival “It's a festival that the people of Méra are proud of and that arouses the curiosity of visitors. Our main goal is to show the magic of the Kalotaszeg region to the world, while bringing bits of the whole world into the backyards of Méra villagers.”
On the festival site a brook runs dividing the location to two separate sides, one of them is where the main stage is located and the other side is an orchard offering space for relaxation. The bridge creates a link between the 2 sides, as well as it has it’s own space and atmosphere.
