About the project

The 4th semester's challenge was to design accommodations for visiting professors and their possible company on the MOME Campus. The designated site was an underutilized parking row on the side of the property, and it was crucial to preserve the parking places and circulation routes.

To benefit the entire campus community, not just the visiting faculty I came up with the idea of creating an artificial hill as an extension of the existing public park. This allowed me to seamlessly integrate the professor apartments into the hill and place the parking spaces underneath. The professor accommodation units were designed to cater to both short- and long-term stays, with variations to accommodate individuals or whole families. Additionally, I increased the number of parking spaces, and the half-open parking lot was thoughtfully designed to be adaptable for other functions if parking needs change in the future.
